Biography
His references show his real strength: the special expressive and musical diversity.
Already with his first jazz formation A DUO ROOL wins the Bundesjazzpreis. He moves early in the music world of Howard Carpendale, plays pop for Vanessa Petruo of the No Angels, Stefan Gwildis and Jan Delay or interprets the funk-soul of international artists like Mousse T., Tom Jones or Roachford. Thus, even before completing his studies at Hanns Eisler Berlin, he was invited by the original members of the James Brown Band to play gigs all over Europe. In the club area he has established himself with various own acts and plays for and with DJs all over Europe.
Meanwhile ROOL also works as an arranger and composer for various projects and artists on request. His arrangements can be found on albums by the Prinzen as well as on the Udo Lindenberg release “Stark wie Zwei”, which now has Gold and Double Platinum status. As an arranger, he works for films by Bernd Eichinger, among others, and writes music for TV commercials for international industrial companies.
